Curated By at London Art Fair | Selections Magazine

The Cynthia Corbett Gallery is delighted to be exhibiting Deborah Azzopardi’s The Great Escape, Lightbox, 2017, at the 30th anniversary edition of London Art Fair. This iconic piece represents Azzopardi’s first artwork rendered as a lightbox. After an unprecedented reception at Art Miami, it makes its UK debut at LAF this January.

Marrying pop and passion, Azzopardi’s illuminated, kiss-blowing beauty speaks of celebrations, love and optimism for the year to come. Winter is here and like this evanescent siren, doubtlessly about to roar off into the blue, we are dreaming of escaping into summer. Dispel your winter troubles and hop on in!

Financial Times | ‘Mundi’ News Gives Miami Pause

Financial Times highlights. Opinion The Art Market, by Melanie Gerlis

“Also in Miami this week is Janis Winehouse, mother of the late musician Amy Winehouse. Her mother is supporting the sale of the remaining screen print portraits of Amy by Pop artist Deborah Azzopardi, “Love is the Answer” (2016), at Cynthia Corbett Gallery in the Art Miami fair.

Winehouse says, “When we first saw [Azzopardi’s] work we thought Amy would have loved it. Deborah’s done a beautiful job and we are pleased that a portion of the sales will be donated to The Amy Winehouse Foundation”. The prints are all signed by Amy Winehouse’s parents, as well as by the artist.” Read the article in the Financial Times.
